The Top Three Reasons to Eat Breakfast Before Work

I bet you're busy in the morning. I know I am. I have a hundred and one things to do and that's just to get out the door! So, if you're like me, you probably forego breakfast in order to gain a little extra time. But by using this time-saving measure, you're actually robbing yourself of time later in the day by causing yourself to be tired and not as productive.

By eating breakfast every day before work you:

  1. Kick start your metabolism.
  2. Boost your brain.
  3. Fuel up your body to run more efficiently.

To start your work day off right and save a little time in your hectic mornings, try this fast breakfast smoothie.

  • Frozen berries/fruit
  • Protein powder/low fat plain yogurt
  • Ground golden flax seed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Water (to desired thickness)

Additional flavours to try: vanilla, cinnamon or 100% fruit juice.

By consuming antioxidants in your breakfast, they work to counter heart disease and even possibly cancer. Therefore, you may not only be gaining extra time in your day, but your life as well!
